So, I am a christian, mother, daughter, sister, friend, called child of God. I love the Lord with ALL of my heart. He has always been faithful to me even when I haven’t deserved it. My Lord is my Lord. He’s not just my Savior, He’s my LORD. Oh… and I love to sing!
Amanda – I ran across your blog as a result of your ‘Memphis’ postings….I live right outside of Memphis in beautiful Olive Branch, MS. I too am a mother, daughter, friend, sister, called child of God. Very much enjoyed reading your entries and viewing your pics (great stuff!!). The music you have has been playing all afternoon in my office – never heard of Watermark but I love their tunes.
God Bless you and your family. I look forward to coming back here again and again.
Well thank you very much Carolyn! I’m glad to see that I have some visitors on my blog outside of LA. Sorry if it seems like I dissed Memphis too much, but just didn’t have too great of a time there…. maybe I just didn’t have enough time to get around the city too much. But that’s awesome to meet another believer! Keep in touch… do you have a blog?
I do keep a blog – probably average about one or two posts a week. Address is http://margaritagirl11.spaces.live.com/.
Memphis is a stinky, dirty city….full of crime and despair. It’s truly a sad place….people are mired in their own helplessness – very willing to blame race and the government for all the issues while voting the same crooks in and doing nothing but fueling fires of hate.
I’m here because I work at the International Paper corporate headquarters. Used to work in Alabama (loved it there) and have been to Bastrop and Springhill, LA several times. I lived in Baton Rouge one summer, many moons ago, during college on a summer internship for Ethyl Corp. LOVED Baton Rouge….albeit because I was a 20yr old alcoholic and lived right on campus within walking distance of every watering hole imaginable. I loved Ivor’s Sports Bar down under the I-10 bridge (I think) and the drive to New Orleans. Those were days long past but as bad as I behaved back then, I always thought that BR was a cool city full of good, hard-working people that knew how to relax.
Keep in touch.
Carolyn
I love your site!
